Idea #43: Online Shopping

Online shopping is slowly becoming more and more popular and as it continues to grow, more online shops are started every day. Here's the problem for an everyday-customer: they have to sign up for all of the different web-accounts and make numerous different orders to each of them. One chance for you to make a succesive business in this field is to start a web-store where people can buy products from all other online shops via your site. It's basically like having a retail shop online but it kind of works in the opposite direction; first the customer chooses the product they want and then you go ahead and find the best price online and make the order for them. This makes the shopping experience online much easier and less stressful for the customer.

Remember to check our all the legal facts to do with this business, because they may very between countries and states.

Idea #42: Mobile Car Repair

More people, more cars. That's how simple it is and we'll just have to live with it. Also, as people are tight on money during the recession, they tend to buy second-hand cars and in general that usually means they're older and more worn out than new ones. This leads to cars breaking down and continuing problems with their endurance. Taking advantage of this business opportunity can be very awarding but there are already lots of car repair shops/garages in business. You need to come up with something completely new and starting a mobile car repair could be just that. It can be very hard to fix cars outside of your garage with a limited availability of tools and machines but you have to figure it out in a way that makes it possible and effective. It's all about making it easier for the customer so going to them instead of them coming to you is a great idea to follow and develope.

Idea #39: Self-Defense

Due to people's fears about the world getting more and more violent and aggressive, a large amount of the population have taken interest in self-defense courses to prepare their selves for possible threatening situations. Self-defense courses are actually a really good business idea because they offer practice in a very current subject which many people are naturally interested in. We all want to stay healthy and be able to stand up for yourself and many people are ready to pay a reasonable price for the education.

If you have experience or knowledge in martial arts or self-defense in general and you like to advise people and help them with problems, you could be the perfect individual to start this business in your community!

Idea #34: Life Organizer

With people becoming more and more busy and being constaintly in a hurry to do something or go somewhere, some just can't do it on their own and need help to get through all the stress. They need a person who can organize their affairs so that they can concentrate on the larger things and let the small issues be handled by someone else, a personal organizer. There's really a large market out there for people to organize others' lives so by starting your own 'organizing agency' or just a private one-person service could potentially hit the jackpot and take you a long long way.

Idea #31: Tutoring

If you're e.g. a student in need of money and have a good basic education, tutoring younger students in their free time could be a good way to make some money. Especially if you live in a large city/community with lots of wealthy families, you have a very good possibility to find many customers and people in need of help with their school work.

Your fees are something you'll have to work on and think about quite deeply because if they're too high, you'll never find enough customers, and having too low fees is just stupid in all ways... When you're starting your business, a good fee would possibly be 20-25$ per hour. If you look at statistics and average fees for tutors, this amount is more to the lower end of the scale so as you get larger and gain more customers you'll have more possiblities to modify the business into your desired form.

Idea #23: Tax Returns

Do you like handling bank accounts and filing tax returns? Lots of people have problems dealing with preparing their taxes, so you could get a significant return for helping them do it. The idea is the same as an accountant for companies but just smaller and for private people. To do the job you have to be up-to-date with the latest tax laws and have some solid training before you start taking on customers. When looking for customers, you might want to use some social networking sites in addition to using the common networking ways. You don't have to do it but it could help you a lot.

Idea #21: Drop-Off Daycare

Nowadays parents are constaintly forced into situations where they would need someone to look after their small children for a small amount of time. They could use daycares but they are often very expensive and don't really work if you only want your child to be looked after for an hour or two. This gives you a great opportunity to start a "Drop-off daycare" where parents are given an hourly price (like 15-20$/child) for their children to be taken care of. To make the best result for your business you need to be a well known and reliable person in your neighbourhood.

Idea #11: Personal Trainer

It's summer and everyone wants to be in good physical shape when hitting the beaches. That's a huge opportunity for someone with lots of knowledge on health because lots of people have no idea how to train themselves or use gym equipment correctly. If you are a regular customer of a local gym, you can ask start off taking people to that gym for a workout. Afterwards you can negotiate cheaper prices for your own clients at the local gym and through that it's a win-win situation for both parties.

Starting off small and making yourself known in the community will automatically bring you more and more customers. According to a study, personal trainers earn an average hourly rate of $60-$70. You could also consider holding group workouts and that could bring you a larger amount of money.

Idea #8: Online Bargains

People are always looking for bargains and especially in the economically hard times such as now, they appreciate help from others to find these benefits. Starting a webpage that informs people of cheap deals and discounts could be a huge success because its target group is practically everyone looking to buy any kind of product.

Someone could think making money off a webpage is hard but actually making your webpage known is much much harder. That means you have to really concentrate on building yourself a strong base of readers who hopefully advertise your page to others. The money making part comes only after this and you can bring in revenue from different kinds of ads on your page or making the content cost a certain amount (per month or just pay once).

Idea #7: Technology Support

There are nearly 2 billion internet users in the world and about 950 million mobile phones were sold only last year. There's bound to be people in need of help with all of their technical devices and, despite there already being lots of companies in this sector, you could use your expertise to help these people.

If you work alone and have no employees, you can attract customers by having little lower prices than your local rivals. This way you have the possibility to build your reputation and find your local customers.
